There are many definitions of coaching nowadays, but for us it falls into 2 distinct categories: coaching for performance improvement and coaching to maximise potential.
We contract with a view to building a sustained and supportive relationship with our coachees rather than to having a limited or set number of sessions in which change should occur. Life isn’t like that.
Our ethos is simple: not only should the chemistry be right between coach and coachee but it is also crucial that the coach has a depth of experience in organisations and at the level of seniority where they are coaching.
We use Lifo® to explore strengths and behaviours, and also to provide 360° feedback on how their style impacts on others. We always start from a strengths' perspective. Creating a resourceful state from which to explore new behaviours is far more powerful than focusing on “what’s wrong”. It leaves space for profound breakthroughs to happen naturally.
